Mary Prather Isaac, 77, of Route 1, LaHarpe, died Saturday evening Jan. 21,
At Allen County Hospital. She had been in failing health the past five years.
She was born May 13, 1900 near Lee's Summit, Mo., and attended school in that area.
In 1916 she married Mose A Prather and the lived for several years in Kingman, Kan.,
Before moving to Sulphur Springs, Ark., and later to Rich Hill, Mo. In 1937 they
moved to LaHarpe.
Mr, Prather preceded his wife in death in 1963 and in 1968 she was married to
Clarence E. Isaac, He died in 1972.
Mrs. Isaac was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Dave Prather of Meeker, Colo., Ernest Prather of Wichita,
Joe Prayer (Prather) of LaHarpe and Dale Prather of Gas; three daughters, Darlene Paddock of
LaHarpe, Millie Chambers of Iola and Bonnie Pennington of Chanute; a sister, Mrs.
Gertrude Trevethin of Colorado Springs, 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral home with
Rev. Marvin Platt officiating. Burial will be in the LaHarpe Cemetery.
