Thomas Prichard Smith, 93, was born on June 25, 1866, in Mannington, Marion, West Virginia, United States.
He was the son of the late Milton Thomas Smith, 25, and Mary Ellen Hammer Smith, 29. He came here from Hamlin WV in 1921 and he retired in 1949 from the Midland Works of the Crucial Steel Company where he was employed for 35 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local 1212 of the Steel Workers of America.
He married his first wife Nancy Jane Atkins Smith on May 19, 1886. She died in 1894. He married his third wife Estella (Stella) Atkins Smith in 1911. She survives at home.
In 1910 he lived in Carroll District, Lincoln, West Virginia, United States, and Glasgow, Beaver, Pennsylvania, United States for about 10 years. He lived at 1659 Park Avenue in East Liverpool, Columbiana, Ohio, United States, where he died Saturday, December 26, 1959, at 7:35 PM after a long illness. Other survivors include a son Leslie Smith of Smith's Ferry Pa; seven daughters Mrs. Una Cumberledge of East Liverpool, Columbiana, Ohio; Mrs. Melva Dingus of Newell West Virginia; Mrs. Mary Hessman of New Whiteland In; Mrs. Nelda Daniels of Ohioville Pa; Mrs. Amogean Coleman of Calcutta, Ohio; Mrs. Lena Adams of Fairview, Ohio Township; Mrs. Leona Plumley of Midland, (Smiths Ferry) Pa; 32 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was buried in East Liverpool, Columbiana, Ohio, United States.
