Mrs. Kate Hillyer McCluer
Mrs. Kate Hillyer McCluer passed away March 6 at her home, 1117 Mission Street. Mrs. McCluer was born March 8 1866, in Ashford, Kent County, England. She came to the United States 75 years ago, and had been a resident of California 53 years and of South Pasadena 51 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Iza Turner; a son, Charles D. McCluer, both of South Pasadena; a sister, Mrs. Emily Passmore of Mt. Morris, New York; also five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held Thursday, March 11, at 10:30 a. m. at the chapel of Turner, Stevens & Eggleston, 1000 Fremont Avenue. Burial was at Mountain View.
