Second wife of Daniel Brandriff; married December 6, 1817. Mary nursed Nancy, Daniel's first wife, in her last sickness, and kept house for Daniel for sometime after Nancy's death.

Daughter of Isaac Hanthorn and Hannah (Smith) Hanthorn. Isaac Hanthorn was a native of Scotland and was educated in some of the good schools in that country. He was familiar with two or three languages besides his native tongue and was a weaver by trade. He taught school all his life in this country. Isaac and Hannah were the parents of four boys and two girls; they were all taught the art of washing, weaving, shearing, carding and spinning the fleece.

Mother of Elizabeth (Betsey), Isaac Hanthorn, Ephriam Buck, Mary Ann, Rachel Thompson, Robert Geary, Hannah H, John G, Charles Pitman, Henry Kimble, and Mary H.

The son, Charles Pitman Brandriff described his mother as, "less than medium in stature, very heavy and compact in body, broad shoulders, a short thick neck, large head, broad face, pug nose, light complexion, brown hair, light blue eyes, small hands and feet, and her walk, the waddle of a duck".

Sometime after the death of Daniel Brandriff,
Mary married Henry Potter.

Mary died of Paralysis and general debility after being sick for one week.
