OBITUARY
Mr. Frank Darcy.
Deep sympathy is estended to the relatives of the late Frank Darcy, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Darcy, of East Maitland, and brother of the late Les Darcy, ex-world's champion box er, who died in the United States just two years ago this month.
The late Frank Darcy died from pneumonia influenza on Thursday morning at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. Like his brother, he took to boxing, and met with much success.
The funeral took place from the East Maitland Railway Station on Friday afternoon, immediately after the arrival of the Tamworth train. Mrs. Darcy and a brother travelled by the same train. The cortege left the station for St. Joseph's Church, where the Very Rev. Father F. O'Gorman, P.P., read the usual prayers, and also officiated at the graveside. The remains were laid to rest in the vault beside those of his late brother.
The members of the A.H.C. Guild marched in front of the hearse, and Messrs. Hawkins, O 'Sullivan, Maloney, Smith and McMahon were pall-bearers. The chief mourners were Mr. and Mrs. E Darcy (parents). Misses Pearl, Muriel and Kitty Darcy (sisters). Messrs. Cecil, Jack, Ted and Joseph (brothers). Messrs. R.B. and J.E. Darcy ( step-brothers). The Les Darcy memmorial committee mustered strong. Numerous wreaths were received by the family, together with messages of sympthy. — R.I.P.
