THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Jul. 31, 1994, p.6A. 'Honey Grove - Fannie Belle Brooks, 83, of Honey Grove died Friday, July 29, 1994, in Honey Grove Nursing Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Honey Grove with the Rev. Bill Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brooks was born April 9, 1911, in Gadston community in Lamar County, a daughter of Charles Edward Morris and Laura Ester Randall Morris. She married David Edward Brooks April 11, 1931 in Hugo, OK. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the church choir and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She attended Midway schools in Lamar County. She is survived by her husband of the home; three sons, Charles Brooks of Fort Worth, Robert Brooks of Brookston and John Brooks of El Paso; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Reba Derrick of Paris and Jo Ann Dunn of Dallas; and a brother, Jimmy Morris of the Sylvan community of Lamar County.'
