Kathleen emigrated with her parents and siblings to the United States, arriving in St John's Newfoundland on June 6, 1909. The family eventually settled in Lansing, Michigan.
It was in Lansing that she met Ernest Wilkinson. The couple was married on September 7, 1912. They were the parents of 3 boys; John, Stanley and Ernest Jr.
Kitty died on November 25, 1959 at the age of 65. She is buried next to her husband in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in DeWitt, Michigan.

WILKINSON, MRS. KATHLEEN J.

Age 65, died Tuesday at a local hospital. She was born March 8, 1894, in England and was a resident of Lansing for 50 years. Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband, Ernest; 2 sons, Stanley E. and Ernest of Lansing; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Wilkinson of Lansing; 6 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs. Nellie Preston of England, Mrs. Lewis Siefert and Mrs. Ivy Devaney, both of Lansing; 2 brothers, James Vincent of Lansing, Francis Vincent of Detroit.
Funeral services will be held from the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. Kenneth Ferguson of St. Stephens Lutheran church officiating. Burial in Chapel Hill cemetery.
