Note: Bert's death certificate and his World War II draft registration card report his birth date as May 2, 1907 (this is, of course, impossible, since his sister, Bertha, was born in June 1907). Bert was enumerated as age 5 in the 1910 census (Bert Blystone), age 16 in the 1920 census (Berton Blystone) and age 25 in the 1930 census (Albert Blystone). These ages place his year of birth at 1904 (his birth is not recorded in the Clearfield County Courthouse). He became younger beginning with the 1940 census.
