Harold L. Rupert, 45, of 520 1/2 Longfellow St., Vandergrift, died Friday, Jan. 25, 1974, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born June 21, 1928 in Parks Twp., a son of Lawrence and Reatha Cook Rupert. He lived in Vandergrift all his life and had been an employee of the American Saint Gobain Glass Works, Arnold. He attended the Church of God in Vandergrift and was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Survivors include his widow, Nancy Solomon Rupert: three sons: Harold Jr., Edward and Eric, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Reatha Scott, Vandergrift; a brother, Dale, Vandergrift; five sisters, Mrs. Willard (Valjean) Varner, Kiski Twp., Mrs. Howard (Eloise) McManus, Vandergrift, Mrs. Clifford (Maxine) White, Parks Twp., Mrs. Warren (Millicent) Scott, Vandergrift and Mrs. Gary (Carolyn) Fitgerald, New Bedford, Pa. He was preceded in death by his father in 1963.
Friends were received in the Dunmire-Kerr Funeral Home, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where a service was held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Bailey, pastor of the Franklin Ave. Church of God, Vandergrift, in charge. Burial followed in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
