Delores Maxine Rupert White, 85, of Vandergrift, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at her home. She was born July 21, 1926, in Vandergrift, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Reatha Cook Rupert. Delores was a member of the North Apollo Church of God. She enjoyed her flower gardens, playing card games, baking her special pies, reading the Bible and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife and loving and caring mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clifford Blair White; five children, Ruth "Eileen" Baylor and her husband, Ward, of Avonmore, Richard B. White and his wife, Kathy, of Warren, Ohio, Loyal "Bud" White, of Kittanning, Robert E. White and his wife, Kathy, of Vandergrift, and Reatha "Marcy" Richey and her husband, Robert, of Leechburg; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale Rupert and his wife, Carol, of East Vandergrift; a sister, Carolyn Fitzgerald and her husband, Gary, of New Bedford; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel White; her brother, Harold Rupert; and three sisters, Val Jean Varner, Eloise McManus and Millicent Scott. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with her nephew, Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell
