David Allen Phillips, 64, of Gastonia, passed away Dec. 26, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1946 in Gaston County, son of the late Charlie Richard and Gertrude McMahan Phillips.
A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Kenny Lane.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall Phillips of the home; sons and daughters in-law, Dale and Tera Phillips, Allen and Misty Phillips all of Gastonia; daughter and son in-law, Kimberly and Keith Robinson of Kings Mountain; brother, Fred Phillips of Huntersville; step son, Robert Leatherwood and spouse, Susie of Clover, S.C.; sisters, Pauline Tench of Dallas, N.C., Martha Hope of Lincolnton and nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Arrangements are with Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia.
