Myrna Loy Peele Abbott, 59, died Saturday, July 6, 1996 at her residence in Wanchese. Mrs. Abbott was born in Hatteras and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Woodward and Louisa Austin Peele and the wife of LeRoy Tillman Abbott of the home.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Abbott is survived by two daughters: Brenda A. Miller of Wanchese and Roberta Lou Lewark of Manteo; two sons: Tillman Ray Abbott and William Wayne Abbott, both of Manteo; three sister: Lila Willis of Great Bridge, VA, Ella McPherson and Louvenia Willis, both of Manteo; two brothers: William Peele of Hertford and Lauris Peele of Wanchese; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 8 at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo with the Rev. Suzanne Fitch officiating, burial followed in the Cudworth Cemetery in Wanchese.
