** In Loving memory of our Great Grandmother Lena **

Lena is loved, missed and remembered forever in the hearts of all who loved her. Lena immigrated from Norway to the USA in 1884. Lena married John in 1887 in Wausau Wisconsin at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived in Arbor Vitae Vilas Wisconsin initially as they raised their family. Their family later moved to Culdrum, Morrison County MN. They also lived in Darling MN.

John preceded Lena in death and she was abWidow. After John passed away Lena

stayed with her children, including her Daughter Lena Hamernick's Family.

Lena was staying with the Family of her daughter Margaret and Art Regnell prior

to her death. Margaret and Art moved from Little Falls MN to Hopkins MN.

Lena moved to Hopkins with them. Lena was hospitalized at the Northwestern Hospital

in Mpls when she passed away. Lena, John and their family were a wonderful, loving

family. They were kind, caring and had that big Carlson laugh and smile.

A favorite song for many Family Members is "Nicolina" by Slim Jim,

sung in Norwegian and English. Lena is very fondly remembered. Lena

was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and so much more.

Lena's Son's Martin and Oscar "Wally" looked so much alike that even Martin's younger Grandchildren couldn't all tell them apart. The Carlson Family

were very close and connected to their communities. Many Family Members

have served our Country in the U.S. Military.

The Carlson Family has held yearly annual Carlson Reunion Picnics in the Twin Cities
