Clara Regnell, 101, Little Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls.

She was born Jan. 8, 1899, in Arbor Vitae, Wis., to John and Lena (Peterson) Carlson. She attended District No. 60 country school. She married William Regnell on June 27, 1920, in Darling Township. They moved to Clough Township in 1932 and lived there until 1963. The farm was purchased by the government and became part of the present Camp Ripley. They moved back to Clough Township and lived there until 1976. Her husband died Dec. 8, 1975. She became a resident of the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls on June 19, 1992. She was a member of the Randall VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Everett Regnell, Little Falls, and Robert Regnell, Little Falls; three daughters, Elaine Opatz, Rice, Ione Bredahl, Kensel, N.D., and Ruth Norton, Little Falls; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lena Hamernick, Monticello.

Her husband; two sons, Lyle and Arnold Regnell; two daughters, Ila Regnell and Marlys Peil; four brothers, Charlie, Frank, Martin and Oscar Carlson; and two sisters, Margaret Regnell and Welimenia Gosh, died earlier.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with the Rev. Steve Turner officiating. Burial will be in Darling Cemetery near Little Falls.
