OBITUARY
—Benjamin W. Morrison was born June 7, 1858, in Knox Co., Mo., the son of Benjamin and Sally Ann Carson Morrison, who were early settlers here having come from Kentucky at an early date.
—Mr. Morrison married Minnie Boltz, April 14, 1887, and to this union was born eleven children, six of whom have preceded him in death, namely, Royal, John, Florence, Ethel, Russel, and Mary, who was Mrs. Virgil Lore.
—The following children survive, Mrs. Laura Parrish, of Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. Mahala Primm, of Missoula, Montana, Mrs. Beulah Barker, Quincy, and Bennie and Cecil of Rutledge; fourteen grand children and 1 great grand child, two sisters, Mrs. Jane Lingenfelter, of Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. Emma Longfellow of Rutledge.
—Mr. Morrison was a successful farmer until his health failed about six years ago, was an extensive cattle feeder, always taking an active interest in farming and raising live stock; he was associated in his work by his son, Bennie, on whose judgment and industry he greatly depended and who since the death of Mrs. Morrison on Mar. 13, 1935, has taken care of his daughter, Margaret Snyder and Mr. Snyder moved in with Mr. Morrison and helped with his care until his death.
—Funeral services were held at the Millport Church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. G. V. Baskett, officiating.
—Music was furnished by Mrs. Chas. Hamstrett, Miss Fannie Purdy with Mrs. Jewel Mason at the piano.
—The pall bearers were Carl Glasgow, Dwight Sharp, W.W. Ahland, Austin Clary, Ellis Little and Harley Bowen.
—Burial was made in the Millport cemetery.
