William Kring was born June 10, 1840, in Osnaburg Twp, Stark County, Ohio. The eleventh child born to Frederick and Elizabeth (Stiener) Kring, of Stark Co., OH…

William migrated from Ohio to Indiana with his family as a small boy, in search of better land to farm.
On June 8, 1861, in South Bend, IN., Will married Julia Carr, born Feb. 11 (nothing more is known about Julia at this time)

On Sept. 30, 1875, Will married his second wife, in South Bend,
Matilda Gindlesberger, born Aug. 23, 1850, in Kendallville, IN., died Sept. 8, 1911, in North Liberty, IN., Daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth R. (Ritter) Gindlesberger, of South Bend.
Will was a farmer by trade, and resided in North Liberty, IN… He found the Lord as a young child, and was members of the Church of the Brethren.

The marriages of Will, Julia, and Matilda were blessed with twelve children;
(With mother Julia)
Cornelius (1862-____)
Samuel H. (1864-____)
Sabrina (1865-____)
Ida M. (1866-____)
Norman J. ( 1869-____)
Nance G. (1873-____)

(With mother Matilda)

William S. (1890-1940)
('NOTE' William S. was raised by William and Matilda Kring, but was not their son, his parents names are not known at this time.)

William died July 9, 1909, at his broths home in Portage Twp, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, after a short illness.
William is supposedly buried at Rohrer Cemetery, South Bend, In., but this writer could not find his tombstone.
Matilda was buried at North Liberty Cem., North Liberty, Indiana.

Notation from berky1966
William Kring probably could have been one of those transferred to another cemetery in the early 20th century. Based on my research I've estimated close to 20 burials transferred in between 1901 and 1930. Also he never appears in any of the inventories made of Rohrer including the one the South Bend Area Genealogical Society did in 1990.
