FARM WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE AT HOME
No Reason Known for Self-Destruction.

Mrs. Franc Gipple, 42, wife of Frank Gipple, living west of Cairo, committed suicide by hanging herself in the windmill shed at her home, about noon Monday of this week. No reason is known for the sad deed.

Mr. Gipple returned from a trip to Columbus Junction and having an errand in the shed discovered the body of his wife hanging by a rope. Life was extinct when he found her. The three older boys were at school, and no one was about the house but the young boy, five years old.

The funeral services were held from the church at Spring Run, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Reverend Hendricks of Cairo. The interment was at the Columbus City cemetery.

The following from Morning Sun community attended the funeral services: Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hunt, Mrs Will Hunt, Stephen Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Delzell, Lawrence Delzell Mrs. Maud Mehaffy, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Barrick, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barrick, Mrs. H. E. Elder, Chester Hamilton, Miss Florence Curran, Mrs. E. P. Curran, Glenn Curran, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Kerr and Mrs. Mary Strawhacker.

Mrs. Gipple was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Hamilton of this community. She attended school in Morning Sun and followed the profession of teaching previous to her marriage to Frank Gipple in 1914. They had been residents of the Spring Run neighborhood for several years. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, four sons, the eldest 14 years of age; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Hamilton; one sister, Mrs. Phronia McConaughey (sic) of Marshall township, and two brothers, Curtis and Dee Hamilton, living northwest of town.
