HANCOCK — William Ritz, 77, of Rt. 1, husband of Mina M. Hull Ritz, died Wednesday morning at the VA Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
Born in Fulton County, Pa., be was the son of Daniel and Delilah Beatty Ritz.
He was a laborer and a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War 1. He was a member of the Buck Valley United Church of Christ in Pennsylvania and the Webster B. Harrison Post No. 26, Hancock American Legion.
He is survived by three sons, Dale W. Ritz, Donald E. Ritz and John E. Ritz. all of Warfordsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; Two brothers, Elmer Ritz of Winchester, Va., and Harold Ritz of Waynesboro, Pa.; Three sisters, Mrs. Clara Stotler of Hancock. Mrs. Mabel Gunnells of Lebanon, Pa., and Miss Phoebe Ritz of Florida.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Buck Valley United Church of Christ with The Rev Charles Doll officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home in Hancock Friday evening from 7 to 9. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be conducted by Webster R. Harrison. Post No. 26, American Legion.
