Mrs. Minnie T. Spencer, 64, mother of Policeman Roy Spencer, died last night following a year's illness at her home, 1000 East Capitol Avenue.
Mrs. Spencer had been suffering from a complication of diseases for several months, but physicians attributed her death to pneumonia. Bedfast for three months, she developed pneumonia several days ago and her condition had been critical since that time.
Mrs. Spencer was born April 11, 1878, in Miller County. She was married to M.R. Spencer, April 3, 1892, and came to Jefferson City 20 years ago.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Miss Clara Spencer, Mrs. Charles Hargis and Roy Spencer, all of Jefferson City; and Mrs. J.M. Miller of New Orleans. Also surviving are two brothers, W.W. Crane, Jefferson City, and L.D. Crane, Eugene; and three sisters, Mrs. Ed Spaulding, Etterville, Mrs. Fred Stone, Tuscumbia and Mrs. Will Acton, St. Louis.
