WATERFORD Laurent Larry Bourgeois, 90, formerly of Grace St., died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa. Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Pierre and Alice Dufresne Bourgeois. He came to Waterford as a young boy and was educated in schools here. Larry was employed for 20 years at Builders Material and Supply Corp. in Albany and retired in 1972. He was a member of the International Teamsters Union. A veteran of the US Army, he served in World War II in the European Theater and was a member of the American Legion, Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon. He was a communicant of the former St. Anne's Church in Waterford. His wife, Rita Primeau Bourgeois, died in 2003. He is survived by his children, Paul R. Bourgeois of Mechanicville and Peter Bourgeois of Fla. Also surviving is his brother, Albert Bourgeois; his sisters, Bette Coutu and Pauline Bourgeois, all of Waterford. Two sisters, Aline Fleury and Jeanette Bourgeois, passed away recently. He is grandfather of Paul, Mark, Kirsten, Justin and Christopher Bourgeois. Three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.
