WATERFORD -- Jeannette M. Bourgeois, 92, formerly of Waterford and the Eddy Ford Nursing Home, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 after a long illness.
She was born in Napierville, PQ Canada and moved to Waterford , N.Y. in 1927. She was the daughter of the late Pierre and Alice Dufresne Bourgeois.
She was an office manager for Troy Town Shirt Corp., Cohoes, retiring after 49 years of service. She was a communicant of the former St. Anne's Church, Northside.
She is survived by Aline Fleury of Waterford, Laurent Bourgeois of Ballston Spa, Albert Bourgeois of Waterford, Berthe Coutu of Waterford and Pauline Bourgeois of Waterford and sister of the late Harvey Bourgeois, Bernard Bourgeois, Marguerite Berthiaume and Claire Arnealt; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Wednesday 11:30 a.m. from the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Remsen Street, Cohoes and 12 noon at St. Joseph's Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her nephew, Rev. Donald Bourgeois. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Jeannette's family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude and thanks to the nursing staff of unit 1 of the Eddy Ford Nursing Home for the excellent care and attention given to Jeannette during her stay there.
