On January 24, 1811 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia she married Jesse Woodson Bugg (BIRTH 31 MAY 1785 Mecklenburg County, Virginia; DEATH 06 MAR 1870 Giles County, Tennessee), son of John William Bugg (1731–1818) and Lucy PENNINGTON (1742–1801), and Martha and Jesse had the following children:

1. John Lett Bugg (1762 Mecklinburg, Virginia; DEATH 1831 Mecklenburg, Virginia, where he owned 25 slaves according to the 1830 Federal Census). On December 17, 1788 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, he married Rebecca Mitchell and they had a son Jacob Bugg (October 27, 1789-October 5, 1842). Jacob married Rebecca Farrar (9/13/1792 - April 1866) and Jacob and Rebecca has a son Samuel Farrar Bugg (3 APRIL 1815-____ Blackstone, Virginia) who married Saluda Pattillo and they had a son Edward Pattillo Bugg (9/10/1836–____) who on November 14, 1866 married Sarah Frances (Love) Manning.

2. Augustine Bugg (23 DEC 1811 Williamson, Tennessee; DEATH 01 JAN 1897 Monroe, Kentucky). On 24 Feb 183 in Monroe County, Kentucky, she married Robert Cobbs Maxey (Birth 2 OCT 1796 Barren, Kentucky; Death 3 MAY 1867 Monroe, Kentucky) and they had the following children: William Bugg Maxey (1833–1889); John Rice Maxey (1835–1893); Varney Albert Maxey (1838–1838); Alfred Jefferson Maxey (1840–1894); Henry Allen Maxey (1843–1900) and Martha Angeline Maxey (1846–1876)

3. Angelina Augusta Bugg (BIRTH 23 DEC 1814 Tennessee; DEATH 20 MAY 1907 Williamson County, Tennessee).
