Jack was the third of fourteen children born to John Raymond Sr and Anna Breas Batts.
He served in the US Army and was a Private. He served during WW II.

He married Grace Baxter McMillan and in 1951, after waiting for ten years to adopt a child, Grace and Jack were allowed to adopt three siblings from an orphanage, a 5 month old boy, 17 month old girl, and 2 1/2 year old boy. Soon after the adoption was cleared, they moved to California for better health for the children.

Jack was always active in construction work. Altho he was never a licensed building contractor, he was always doing something with his brothers in the construction field.

In his later years, he was involved with Grace and her cosmetic company, GraJac.

Jack was always very active in the church. He spent many years teaching sunday school at the Church In The Barn in El Monte, California. He never had any problem stopping what he was doing to pray with you. He knew the bible very well.

Grace passed away in July 1982.

Jack then married Buena Culberson. Buena passed away July 22, 2001.

Jack was 96 years of age when he passed. He was active til the end.

He was cremated and his remains are at Riverside Arlington Veterans Cemetary.
