Anna's maiden name was Breas. She married John Raymond Batts Sr. on May 11, 1911 and together they had fourteen children. They lived in Michigan.

Pearl Jennette, Janet Pearl, John Raymond, Marvin John, Edna Harriet, Erma Jane, Emma (Erma) Jane, Phyllis Lorraine, Harriet Lois and Lillian Ann, Herman Phillip, Phillip, Robert Howard and Rae Ann.

Pearl was the first born and died as a baby. Erma Jane (born in 1920) lived just under two months. Emma (Erma) Jane (born in 1921) died just shy of her fifteenth birthday. Herman Phillip died at the age of 19 in Japan while serving in the Marine Corp during WWII.

John Sr died as a result of an automobile accident in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1942 at the age of 52.

Anna married Thomas Matten in So. California. He passed away in February 1966.

She is buried in Rose Hills in Whittier next to Grace Batts, first wife of son John (Jack) Raymond Batts Jr.

As of today, the surviving children are Phillip (born 1927), and Rae Ann (born 1930).
