We know very little about Tennessee Edwards but she must have been a very good mother and provider since she was left as widow with 7 children ages 16 and younger. She never remarried. Perhaps the grown children helped her out some. The children all grew into responsible adults and kept up with each other pretty well. She was the daughter of James Burton Smith and Sarah (B. or C.) Robertson Smith.(Sylvia Edwards McDonald)
