Watterberg—Passed away at Taber on Tuesday, August 14, 1973, Charles of Vauxhall, at the age of 88 years. Born at Wolverton, Minnesota, February 25, 1865. Came to Alberta in 1908 and homesteaded in the Vauxhall area. He married the former Mary Hult in 1916 and continued farming until retiring in 1963.

Survivors: his wife, Mary, Vauxhall; three daughters, Mrs. Russell Bell of Vauxhall, Miss Norma Watterberg of South Bend, Indiana, Mrs. Eugene Heikes of Fort Collins, Colorado; one son, Robert of Calgary; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from Parkview United Church, Vauxhall on Thursday, August 16 at 2:30 p.m. with Miss Aldeen McKay officiating. Interment will follow in the Vauxhall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Fund, c/o Humphries Funeral Home, Taber, or favorite charity appreciated. Humphries Funeral Home, Taber, in charge of arrangements.
