Joseph O. Marney, 79, Dies at Home

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary for Joseph O. Martin, 79, 1007 N. Central, who died at his home Tuesday after a long illness.
He was born at Rossville Dec. 30, 1881, and lived there 16 years until moving here.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Marney of the home; three sons, Ted Marney of Rossville, Oliver D. Marney, 1807 Lane, and William Marney, 3127 Bryant; five daughters, Miss Margaret Marney of the home, Mrs. Fleta Jones of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Nadine Berry, 1131 Mulvane, Mrs. Marie Anderson, 932 Medford, and Mrs. Betty Crowin, 1314 E. 23rd; two brothers, Ivan Marney and Ben Marney, both of Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Lilliard of Rossville and Mrs. Jennie Austin, 1946 N. Topeka; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
