George W. Areford, aged 75 years, died in his home in Morgantown, W. Va., Friday, March 15, 1935, at 2:15 p.m., of a heart ailment. He had been ill since Tuesday. Mr. Areford was born in Greene County, and was a son of Benjamin and Anna Barnhart Areford. He was a former huckster and restaurant operator in Carmicahels, and moved to Morgantown only a few years ago. He leaves his wife, Mary Moore Areford, of Morgantown, W. Va., one daughter, Mrs. Frank Ross of Carmichaels, and four grandchildren. Short funeral services will be held on his home at Morgantown Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock with other services at the home of Frank Ross of Carmichaels at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Hewitt's Cemetery, Rices Landing.
