Frances Rouse, 80, of Galesburg died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Peoria.
Born on March 27, 1926, to Roy D. and Garnet C. Harris Smith in Marietta, Ill., she married Harry G. Rouse in 1944 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2006.
Frances is survived by one daughter, Jane A. (David) Wooten; and four brothers, Don Smith, Leo Smith, Eugene (Doris) Smith and Bobby Smith.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
A 1944 graduate of Cuba High School, Frances worked at Intra State Telephone Co. in Galesburg for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Frances loved the farm life she shared with her husband.
Cremation will be accorded with burial of cremated remains at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg, IL.
