Mrs. George Vogel, 59, of 2326 Illinois Ave., New Holstein, died March 25 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where she had been a patient for one month.

The former Viola E. Spettel was born in the town of Schleswig on April 21, 1910 a daughter of the late Jacob and Clara Spettel.

She was married to George Vogel on July 3, 1930 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, George Jr., Jeffrey and Steven, all of New Holstein, Dennis of Kiel and Robert, Santa Monica, Calif.; five grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Elsie Voight, Mrs. Cela Schneider, Mrs. Verna Beckmann and Mrs. Lendora Bucholz, all of Kiel, Miss Clara Spettel of Milwaukee and Mrs. Lu Mueller of Sheboygan.

Funeral services were held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, with the Rev. Hubert P. Nilles, pastor, celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chilton.
