Wedding – Estella Spettle to John Ibe

Tuesday at the Bethlehem (Reformed) Church in Town Schleswig, Rev. Hauser united in marriage Mr. John Ibe, the son of Mr. Carl Ibe and Miss Estelle Spettel, the daughter of Jacob Spettel. Wedding attendants were Elsa Spettel, Hulda Westphal, Henry Ibe and Ed. Hartmann. The wedding celebration was held at the home of the bride. The young couple will live on the Hansen farm near Meggars.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. John Ibe, 70, of Chilton who died Friday at Calumet Memorial hospital, Chilton, following a one month illness.
She was born in the town of Schleswig, September 6, 1896, the daughter of the late Jacob and Clara (Strassmann) Spettel. The former Estella Spettel, she married John Ibe March 11, 1912 at the Reformed Church in the Town of Schleswig. He died in 1961
Surviving are seven sisters, Mrs. Walter Voigt, Mrs. Fred Schneider, Mrs. Albert Anhalt, Mrs. William Buchholz, Jr. all of Kiel, Mrs. Hilbert Mueller, Sheboygan, Miss Clara Spettel, Milwaukee and Mrs. George Vogel of New Holstein; one granddaughter and five great grandchildren. 11-3-1966
