BENNIN, LEONA A. (nee Schneider)

Leona A. Bennin, 84, of 2113 Monroe Street, New Holstein, passed away Sunday morning at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 7:30 p.m. from the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein. Officiating the Rev. Victor Kuerschner, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Burial in Knollwood Mausoleum.

She was born March 9, 1906, in the Town of Rockland, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Fred and Amelia Glasow Schneider.

On March 20, 1927, she married John Bennin in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1945.

Survivors include three sons, John of Madison, Willard of New Holstein, and Arno Rodger of Manitowoc, four daughters, Mrs. Evangeline (Ted) Glasow of Reedsville, Mrs. Betty (Paul) Heinzen of Manitowoc, Mrs. Lorraine Otto of Rt. 1 Manitowoc, and Mrs Lila Horbeck of Manitowoc, also 37 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Hattie Krueger of Collins, one step daughter, Mrs. Wilma Wreidt of Elkhart Lake.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Gebhart, two grandchildren, three brothers, and one half sister.

Friends may call at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein, from 3 p.m. Tuesday until time of service.
