RICHARD BRETHOUWER

Richard A. Brethouwer, age 70, of 707 Columbus St., Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, Feb. 11, 2007, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

Richard was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Sheboygan, son of the late Raymond and Arline VerGowe Brethouwer. He drove truck for many companies until his death. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Richard married the former Mary Nachtwey on June 10, 1995, at Pine Crest Historical Village in Manitowoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Linda Schoenfeld; and one nephew.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at Knollwood Memorial Chapel, 1500 Highway 310, Manitowoc. The Rev. Jim Decamp will officiate, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Relatives and friends may call at Knollwood Chapel from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Richard's name. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the Brethouwer family.

A special thank you to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Care Center, especially Drs. (private), VNA Hospice, and the nurses on the third floor at Aurora Medical Center.
