PEARL BRUSKY

Pearl F. Brusky, 80, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012, surrounded by her family at Bellin Hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1931, in West Kewaunee, to the late John and Ella (Nimmer) Tess.

Pearl graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1949. She married Myron Brusky on Feb. 21, 1950 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1993.

She was a lifelong member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Carlton. Pearl was a homemaker and babysat for numerous families throughout the years. She loved embroidering, bird watching, playing cards and watching game shows.

She was a huge Packers, Brewers and Bucks fan. For many years she enjoyed watching her grandkids participate in the Kewaunee Indian/Storm sports.

Pearl's children and grandchildren appreciated her knowledge of cooking and gardening that she shared with them.

Survivors include, two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Brusky and Nancy Harrison, Lynn Brusky, two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Peter Dolski, Mary and Gary Federwitz all of Kewaunee; four grandchildren, Matthew Brusky, Kimberly Federwitz (Danny Lathrop), Bradley and Stephanie Dolski; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland and Marian Tess, Kiel; John and Marie Tess, Mishicot; two sisters, Lillian Seidl, Joyce Shimanek, both of Kewaunee; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alice Glish, William and Karen Brusky, all of Kewaunee. She was preceded in death by two infant sons; one grandson, Adam Federwitz; four brothers, Edwin (June) Tess, Gilbert (LaVerne) Tess, Gerhart (Grace) Tess, Orville Tess; one sister, Erna (Harvey) Schneider; four brothers-in-law, John Seidl and Alvin Shimanek; Wilfred (Shirley) Brusky and Joseph Glish.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. Visitation continues at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Carlton after 10 a.m. on Monday until the time of services. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Saatkamp officiating. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum.

Pearl's family would like to thank Dr. Tom Zenner, the Kewaunee Ambulance, the nurses, physicians and staff of Bellin fourth floor and Unity Hospice.

A special thank you to Mary and Gary with whom she lived for the past five years and to Janita Zimmerman for her kindness.
