Ella Hunt Edwards, 96, of Waverly, died at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 1989 at Pleasant Hill Village Nursing Home in Girard.
She was born Aug. 13, 1892, in Waverly, the daughter of Luther and Adeline Dunlap Hunt. She married Dr. Forrest Edwards on Nov. 19, 1913. He died Aug. 27, 1936.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Edwards of Springfield; two sons, Wayne and Wilbur Edwards, both of Waverly; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Twila Douglas; four sisters, and four brothers.
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Waverly Christian Church and the Waverly Rebekah Lodge.
Services were held Sunday at the Neece Funeral Home with the Rev. Ambrose Stump officiating. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery.
