Florence was born in Racine on March 2, 1916, daughter of the late Martin F. and Eva M. (nee: Buenger) Johnson and was a lifelong Racine resident. Florence was united in marriage to George L. Foldy, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1959. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Bernard (Pamela) Foldy of Peoria, Arizona; her four grandchildren, Tammie (Richard) Hernon, Sheryl (James) Meyer, Alan (Vanessa) Foldy, and David (Jane) Foldy; her seven great-grandchildren, Tara, Megan, Brianna, Jake, Collin, Alex, and Patrick; sisters-in-law, Bernice Johnson and Alice Johnson; brother-in-law, John (Rosemarie) Foldy; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, George Foldy Jr., her granddaughter Holly Ann; five brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 3, 2000, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Ronald Crewe officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Highway 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Memorials to the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeastern Wisconsin, 735 North Water Street, Suite 701, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202 have been suggested.
