RACINE – Russell M. Johnson, 1516 Blake Avenue, age 78, passed away at his residence on April 15, 1981.

Mr. Johnson was born in Racine on July 14, 1902 and had been a Racine resident all of his life. Mr. Johnson was employed by the City of Racine Parks Department for 22 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and of the Racine Yacht Club.

Surviving are his wife Roma; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russell T. and Emmy Johnson and Robert M. Johnson, all of Racine; four grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Karen Dygon and husband Paul, Heide Johnson and Mark Johnson; one great-granddaughter, Carrie Dygon; one sister, Mrs. Florence Foldy of Racine; two brothers, Bernard Johnson of California and Charles Johnson of Florida; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home. The Reverend Earl Kammerud will officiate. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held this evening, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home, 3014 Northwestern Avenue.
