RACINE – Mrs. Eva Johnson, 1511 Buchanan Street, age 72, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Foldy.

Mrs. Johnson, the widow of the veteran police officer, Martin F. Johnson, was born in Racine, March 17, 1876, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Buengers, pioneer of Racine. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church.

Surviving are five sons, Russell, Martin and Stanley, all of Racine; Bernard of California, and Charles of Kenosha; six daughters, Mrs. Fred Rosinski, Mrs. John Bellovary, Mrs. Edward Lizdas and Mrs. George Foldy, all of Racine; Mrs. Charles Mayes of Ferndale, Michigan, and Mrs. Arthur Burg of Detroit, Michigan; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Buengers of Racine; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Pfost and Mrs. Joseph Sherman, both of Racine; Mrs. John Thomas of Kenosha, and Mrs. Louis Hagerman of Lombard, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 8:30 a.m. in the Dahl Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. John's Church, because of the Forty Hours Devotion being held at present at St. Joseph's Church. Reverend H.J. Schmitt will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery, Highway 42. Friends may call at the Dahl Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and until time of services. The Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 8 o'clock, at the funeral home.
