The remains of Charity M. Studebaker (nee Bratt) and her two infants are said to have been removed from the Studebaker mausoleum and that an earlier marker, on which the existing marker was based, was difficult to read. Thus the infant's alternate birth/death date is thought, by some, to be 1857 rather than 1851. There's also the fact that Clement and Charity were married in October 1852.

Based on maternal family naming patterns, the infant daughter of Clement Studebaker and 1st wife Charity M. Bratt, might also have been named Charity as:

Charity M. Bratt was the daughter of Jacob Bratt and Charity Francisco.

Charity Francisco was the daughter of Levi Francisco and Charity Carpenter.

Unconfirmed speculation added by S.A.Studebaker 9/21/2017.
