JOSEPH LEO MUDD
EDINA, Mo. — Joseph Leo Mudd, 85, retired Edina businessman, was pronounced dead Thursday (Feb. 14, 1971) at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Hospital in Quincy.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Thomas Duggan will officiate. Burial will be in New Catholic Cemetery in Edina. Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Mudd was owner of J. L. Mudd Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Co., before retiring in 1957. He was born Aug. 15, 1888, in Silex, a son of Daniel and Catherine Spalding Mudd. He married Mary Agnes Kruth [sic] Oct. 15 [sic], 1917, in Edina.
Surviving are the widow; a son, James J. Mudd of Keokuk, Iowa; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Haffarnan and Mrs. Leon (Ethel) Cleary of Edina and Mrs. Carl (Mary) Knabbe of West Point, Iowa.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
