BARING LAKE VICTIM, BURIED TODAY AT EDINA
Edina, Mo. July 29. — Funeral services for Miss Catherine Mudd, Kahoka stenographer and daughter of Mrs. D. H. Mudd of Edina, who drowned in the Baring Lake Sunday were held this morning at 8 o'clock at St. Joseph's church. Burial was made in the new St. Joseph's cemetery, beside her father and brother.
Miss Mudd was swimming with Mildred Kuetting of Kahoka, and a Mr. Johnson, of Edina; when all three went down. Miss Mudd did not come up, but the other two rose a second time and called for help, being rescued in a boat by Ralph Arnold and some others.
The dead girl is survived by her mother, five sisters, Mrs: John Hofforman. Mrs. Leon Cleary, Miss Prudence and Miss Mary, of Edina, Sister Cooma, Cincinnati and Joseph and Dan, brothers, of Edina.
