TOWN OF PLEASANT SPRINGS - Neal Duane Erickson, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at his home with his son and daughter-in-law at his side.

He was born in Stoughton, on July 16, 1940, the youngest of 11 sons born to George and Marlin Erickson. Neal graduated from Stoughton High School in 1958. He enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. Neal was united in marriage to Saundra (Hubble), who preceded him in death. He worked at Uniroyal Engineered Products in Stoughton for 43 years. Neal was a member of the Stoughton VFW Post 328. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Neal is survived by his son, Steve "Rat" (Michele); two grandchildren, Ronnie and Bryn; Michele's daughters, Taylor, Olivia and Gianna; three brothers, George (Marge), Roger (Sharon) and Truman; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and (seven) brothers.

A celebration of Neal's life will be held at a later date. A special thank you to Neal's nurses, Sue Eugster from the VA Hospital and Lisa and Barb from Stoughton Home Health, and to special friends, Mert Griffin, Mark Snyder and John Dahms.
