Funeral services were held Aug. 28 in the Chapel of Macy and Son for Ruth E. Johnson. Rev. Don F. Carpenter of Grace Baptist Church of Carlton conducted the services. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park. Mrs. John died Aug. 24 at a McMinnville hospital.

Ruth E. Johnson, daughter of Peter C. and Mary Oberg, was born May 4, 1895 at Campbell, Neb. At the age of 13 she moved with her parents to Farnam, Neb. where she was reared and received her schooling. She was married Oct. 18, 1916, to John A. Johnson. They resided in the Farnam community until 1937 when they moved to Oregon, locating on a farm east of Yamhill where they have lived since that time. She was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her widower, John; three sons, Waldron A. of Yamhill, John A. of Lincoln City, and Carl D. of Sao Luiz, Brazil; three brothers, Claude, Walter and Nobel Oberg of Carlton; three sisters, Esther Nordmo of Rainier, Ann Oberg and Edna Duncan, both of Carlton; and six grandchildren.
