ROME, N.Y. — Anna M. (Huchro) Anderson, age 98, formerly of Mineville, passed away on Tuesday, May 18th 2010 at the Bethany Gardens Skilled Living Center in Rome, N.Y.

She was born on December 13th 1911 in Mineville, N.Y., she was the daughter of Martin and Victoria (Wilk) Huchro.

She grew up in the area and attended Mineville, N.Y. schools.

She married William John Anderson Sr. on October 6th 1934 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Witherbee, New York.

They spent their married life in Mineville, N.Y. Mr. Anderson predeceased her on April 5th 1994.

Anna was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Witherbee, N.Y. and The Church of All Saints Catholic Church in Mineville, N.Y.

She was a member of St. Michael's Altar & Rosary Society, the Mineville-Witherbee Firemen's Auxiliary, Essex County Home Bureau and the local Women's Bowling League.

She worked on election days for the Essex County Board of Elections.

She was predeceased by her parents, one son-in-law; John Lenihan, one sister; Mary and husband Ralph Simpson, two brothers; Paul Huchro and John Huchro, one sister-in-law; Doris Huchro, and two brothers-in-law; Robert Osborne and George Haley.

Arrangements by the Harland Funeral Home on 4279 Main Street in Port Henry, N.Y.

Burial will be at the Sts. Peter's & Paul's Cemetery in Moriah. N.Y.
