LOUIS HANDL SR. (d. 1961)
Louis Handl Sr., 79, of 823 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died early
Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had
ben a patient since Oct. 5.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m at St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Handl was born April 8, 1882, in Manitowoc County, son of the
late Andrew and Theodora Handl. He married the former Rose
Pasternaski Nov. 18, 1903, at Manitowoc.
Mr. Handle was a tailor all of his life, being employed at Schuette
Brothers prior to his retirement in 1957.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Chester Meindl, Mrs. Ralph
Benthein, Mrs. Roland McCarthy and Mrs. Vernon Lewis; four sons,
Andrew, Louis, Jr., Lester and Walter; a brother, Joseph and a sister,
Mrs. John Schroeder, of Manitowoc, 25, grandchildren and 41 great
grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death June 1, 1946.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
