Thomas G. Groninger, Sr., 61, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Logansport, died Feb. 28, 1991, in
Los Angeles after a lengthy illness.
Born May 12, 1929, in Logansport, he was the son of Clarence and Aelmina Stout Groninger. He was married in Los Angeles to Lupe Solorzano, who survives.
Prior to moving to California, he worked as a pressman for the Logansport Pharos-Tribune for several years.
He served in the Korean Conflict and was an Air Force Corporal.
Surviving with his wife are his father, of Logansport; one son, Thomas Glen Groninger, Jr., of Logansport; a daughter, Barbara Rentschler, of Rt. 6, Rochester; five sisters, Dorothy Garrison of Lafayette; and Maryanne Ropp, Betty Johnston, Jean Shepard, and Nancy Grable, all of Logansport; a brother, Terry Groninger of Logansport; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
Graveside services were Friday at IOOF Cemetery, Delphi, with PastorRobert Riley officiating.
