Maryan Ropp, 68, of, 1417 Chicago
St. will be held at10:30 a.m.
Wednesday in the First Church of the
Nazarene. She died at 12:26 p.m. Friday,
June 8, 2001, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept 8, 1932, in Logansport, she
was the daughter of Clarence E. and
Elmina May Stout Groninger. On Aug.
5, 1950, in Logansport, she was married
to Paul H. Ropp, who died Oct. 6, 1986.
A homemaker, Maryan attended the
First Church of the Nazarene.
She enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and having Friday night
sleepovers for them. She also enjoyed
her coffee times with her brother and
sisters.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in
law, Cathy M. and Lester Ross,
Logansport; three sons and daughters-in-
law, Michael P. and Julia M. Ropp and
Brian P. and Vicky Ropp, all of Logansport,
and Dennis A. and Martha Ropp,
Newberry, Fla.; four sisters, Betty Johnson,
Jean Shepard, and Nancy Grable,
all of Logansport, and Dorothy Garrison,
Lafayette; one brother, Terry
Groninger, Logansport; 13 grandchildren,
Allen, Daren, Lorinda, Tom, Brianna,
and Brittney Ropp, Steve and Shelley
Ross, Mandy Cook, Kim Popejoy and
Shane, Bobby, and David Morock; and
eight great-grandchildren.
One son, Clarence P. Ropp, one brother,
Tom, and one sister, Barbara, also
preceded in death.
The Rev. Horace Smith and the Rev.
Glen Hissong will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Harper Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to -8 p.m.
Tuesday in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum
Funeral Home and one hour
before the time of services Wednesday
in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made
to the Leukemia Society of America.
