Americus- Roy Gray, retired Farmer and a longtime of the Americus area, died Wednesday evening in Newman Memorial County Hospital in Emporia.at the Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Saturday at the Roberts Blue Barnett Chapel, the Rev. Theodore Inman officiating. Internment will be in the Americas Cemetery. Mr Gray was the son of the late john W and Celia Cummins Gray. He was born Aug 26 1886 north of Council Grove, and was reared in the Dunlap Community. He was married to Miss Effa Mae Moore Feb 26 1908,in Americus. Mr Gray was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. he was preceded in death by his wife, who died Oct, 31, 1968, and by four brothers,Byron, Jay, Henson, and John Gray, and seven sisters, Fanny Ellison, Flora Lamb,Milly Caples, Ruth Houck, and Lela, Bertha and E11a, and Kitty Gray. He is survived by sons Howard of Topeka, Warren of Houston, and Hubert of San Antonio, 0ne daughter Mrs. Helen Ryman,10 Grandchildren and 11 Great grandchildren.
