Glen was the son of Arthur Samuel (b.1888-d.1954) and Adelaide S. Abrams (b.1893-d.1926). He was preceded by a brother Wallace Abrams (b.1912-d.1913) who died at 16 months; and followed by 3 siblings: Ruth Viola (Abrams) Aldrich (b.1919-d.1986); John Sanford Abrams (b.1921-d.1978); and, Isa May "Mickey" (Abrams) Bosworth (b.1923-d.2014).

Glen was married to Sybil and then to Daphne. Neither marriage had children.

Glen was 5'10" and at 150 pounds. He received an Honorable Discharge from the US Army where he served as a private from 12/16/1942 to 7/3/1943. He separated due to poor health.
