(NOTE: Informant on John's Death Certificate was his wife Julia Kirby. She indicated that his mothers name was Emaline (spelled same as on grave marker in Eureka cemetery) Hoffman. Have found no indication that the last name is correct. Marriage document for James Kirby and Emeline Wattman dated July 24, 1841, Knox County, Ohio. Death document for Emeline, informant states her last name as Waltman. Have found Wattman's in Middlebury, Knox County, Ohio, same as 1850 census for James and Emeline.)
